Welcome to "Capitello Ristorante", in the very heart of Rome, where you'll discover the antique flavor of Italy. Your hosts Antonello, owners of Capitello, will ensure you the best taste of Italian traditional kitchen. The extensive menu combines favorite Roman dishes with regional cuisine, featuring rich dishes from Calabria.
You can find a variety of shapes and sizes of pasta, ranging from spaghetti, penne, corkscrew- shaped (fusilli) and many others with the original traditional ingredients typical for the south of Italy that distinguishes pasta sauces from the ones from other parts of the country. Freshly grated cheese is the magic ingredient for most pasta dishes but you can enjoy it also in a variety of other kinds as a part of a wide choice of antipasti.
Seafood is especially recommended, try lobster with cognac, gilt bream or rhombus with potatoes or the combination of pasta with fresh fish or, if you are a meat lover try here Scaloppina alla mimosa (veal with spices) or Petto di pollo
alle erbe (chicken with spices)…
There's an interesting selection of wines from all over Italy in addition to excellent house wine (with the original labels of the restaurant).
With a seating capacity for 80 people, this is one of the extremely pleasant spots to pass a nice evening.
