Starting from the jewel considered as marginal body. fitting or as a subsidiary accessory often situated in the periphery of fashion, Myriam Bottazzi is building an interesting and constructive inversion of terms: her bijoux not only have an independent and autonomous life, but can indeed also express implicitly the dresses that should give them support, thanks to their great creative potentiality.
A fascinating and refined atmosphere surrounds like an aura M.B.'s creations, a stylist born in Milan, that works as through a sort of estrangement of objects and common natural materials, both ancient and modern, which combined together give birth to unusual and fresh combinations.
This de- contextualization of the object, according to a type of operation already emphasised by Duchamp and Man Ray, drives Myriam Bottazzi to reproduce the daily life symbols in new mysterious metamorphoses.
The surreal originality of M.B.'s works has been much appreciated by well known stylist (Gattinoni, Martin Sitbon, Maurizio Galante), who have included her jewellery in their fashion shows. Besides of producing under her trademark "Myriam B.", Myriam Bottazzi has in recent years designed and produced for well known fashion firms like Maurizio Galante, Gattinoni, Martine Sitbon, Oliver by Valentino, Les Copains.
Currently its creations are exposed beyond that in the point sale opened in the November of 2003 also in other storees.
