La Ripa

While the main activity on Fattoria La Ripa is that of producing Wines and Olive Oil, another activity is the letting of two holiday apartments. These are an annexe of the main residence, are named "Happy" and "Sief", have beautiful views over surrounding Tuscan hills and have been perfectly restored in the original Monna Lisa's building. They have been furnished with taste and elegance and both have independant central heating for the winter, with a swimming pool available for the summer. There is a tasting room where wine can be tasted and bought direct from the farm.

Geographically the accomodation is ideally situated for sight- seeing tourists as it is mid- way between Florence and Siena (30 km = half our drive each way) and short distance from S. Gimignano, Volterra, Certaldo, Pisa and Lucca and the beaches of Versilia and of the Maremma (Punta Ala). Although only 4 km from the Florence/Siena freeway and 2 km from the village of S. Donato in Poggio, la Ripa is sufficiently far from traffic to enjoy tranquillity and silence.

There are tennis courts, horse riding centres and golf courses (18 holes) in the immediate vicinity.
